My dear brothers and sisters, blessings and guidance of Jesus the Savior to you! May I
once again thank you for prayers and goodwill when some of us were in Rome and The Holy
Land. I celebrated several Masses with all the prayer requests some of you gave me, and I
dropped the petition at the wall of prayer in Jerusalem, Israel. Mass was celebrated for all you in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.
We were privileged to celebrate Masses in all the holy sites we visited in Rome, Assisi, and The Holy Land. It was such a moving spiritual experience to touch and spend time where Jesus physically lived his human life. Possibly in the near future, we could make some time to talk about our pilgrimage experience to Rome, Assisi (where we visited the home and ministry of St. Francis of Assisi), our visit to the Holy Land, and show you pictures of our spiritual trip. Thank you again for praying for us!
The whole purpose of Jesus’ coming is for us to leave behind our old way of life and
follow the life of Jesus the Savior in spirit and in truth. We need to make an effort to grow from
our inner self constantly and daily, into the image of Christ we profess in Baptism and receive in the Most Holy Eucharist. The Holy Land experience was such a remarkable and transforming experience, especially when we were able to see by ourselves how Jesus worked hard to reconcile humanity to God, despite oppositions he faced. In the Gospel this weekend, we hear how Jesus the Savior sent seventy-two disciples in His own name to continue His work of establishing God’s Kingdom to all corners of the earth. Jesus the Savior has come to bring peace to all hearts that welcome the messengers with His message with the peace the world cannot give, so that those who welcome His message of peace will remain in His Peace and Joy throughout their entire lives. He is also sending us to embark on the same mission of truth, peace, and joy, empowering us spiritually to pray without ceasing and reflecting Him in all we do and say. Any act of faith we perform is evangelization for Christ.
